In 2014, all eyes in the international OSH scene will be on Germany: From the 24th to the 27th of August, the DGUV will be hosting the “XX World Congress on Safety and Health 2014: Forum for Prevention” in Frankfurt. Together with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the International Social Security Association (ISSA), the DGUV invites you to engage in a global exchange of views and experience.
The submission deadlines for contributions to symposia and the Forum for Prevention have now passed, with a total of 1300 abstracts received – more than ever before! As such, the World Congress 2014 will offer a broad spectrum of specialist content delivered by highly qualified contributors. In particular, you can look forward to a comprehensive programme focusing on the themes of safety and health in the workplace.
Over 4,000 people from around the world are expected at the event – from safety experts, political and administrative decision-makers and specialists from throughout the field of occupational safety and health (OSH) to businesses, employees and the organizations that represent them. The World Congress 2014 will not only provide opportunities to exchange the latest in knowledge and experience, but also represent a platform for networking, promote active participation and offer insights into examples of best practice.
Three main themes will provide a framework for the content of the Congress:
- Prevention Culture – Prevention Strategies – Vision Zero
- Challenges in Occupational Health
- Diversity in the World of Work
Further information on the event and the registration process is available on the dedicated World Congress website.
